Aldi has shared an item which has fans in a frenzy. The supermarket posted a picture of a milk frother on their Special Buys Instagram page and shoppers are loving it. It can be used as a milk heater or even as a “velvetiser” to make delicious hot chocolate.

The shop’s 257,000 followers loved the item and almost 3,000 liked the post. Many customers were comparing the bargain item to its more expensive counterpart – and lots of shoppers said it’s just as good for a fraction of the price. Hotel Chocolat sell a velvetiser for around £100.

Aldi is selling their Milk Heater and Frother for just £19.99. Advertising the item, the shop said it is available to buy online now and comes in three colours: black, grey, and white. The frother will be in stores from Thursday (May 12).

The supermarket posted the special buy with the caption: “Posh coffee shouldn’t cost a lot and thanks to our Milk Frother, it doesn’t have to. You can have all the froth in your coff for less than 20 quid. Get one online now and in store Thursday. #AisleofAldi #ILoveAldi.”

Customers took to the comments to share their love of the dupe. One said: “This is what I was on about instead of the Hotel Chocolat one a little while ago!” While others simply said they “need” to buy it to try the “best thing ever” for themselves.

A second shopper wrote: “I use one of these instead of a Velvetiser!! Amazing for a fraction of the price,” and a third explained how to use the kitchen appliance. They commented: “If you add milk to it and crashed up chocolate it doubles as a velvetiser!”

The online description of the item states: “Treat your tastebuds to this Ambiano Black Milk Heater & Frother. This gadget is a must-have for those who can’t get enough of premium coffee. Frothing and warming attachments ensure you can enjoy your favourite coffee from the comfort of your own home. With multiple combinations, this heater & frother will be able to quench your home’s premium coffee fix.”

The Hotel Chocolat version costs £100 and customers also have to buy additional packs of chocolate to create a deliciously creamy hot drink. Aldi customers seemed to think their version was a worthy comparison.

A fan wrote: “ooh such a reasonable price as well!!” while others who already have the item claimed they “love it.” Finally, another shopper said it was going to be their “new obsession.”

You can purchase Aldi’s Milk Heater and Frother for £19.99 online here. Alternatively, you can find it in store from tomorrow. What do you think of the dupe? Let us know in the comments.
