  1. Reactive attachment disorder is not that rare in children in foster care. I was a foster parent and was aware of it before I took in foster children. We had a 4 year old boy who had RAD and it was obvious within a week that he had it. I had two children of my own and could not keep him due to his aggressive behavior, but I sure hope that someone was able to help him in life.

  2. No doubt an awful diagnosis to deal with as a parent BUT this format made it very uninteresting. I prefer to have a video narrated instead of reading printed words, not to mention the terribly annoying music making this a video very unlikely to be watched in it's entirety.

  3. Your message is important u want ppl to understand..so why a video no one can read or silence to take in ur photos..defeats the object!

  4. The music is sick with that constant and repetitive beat. It was so bad that I couldn’t connect to what I was reading. I finally muted it and was able to concentrate on what I was reading. Please think about more quiet, soothing music in future vids. This was very important info that was being shared. My thoughts go out to this family to resolve this issue and love each other no matter what, nobody was at fault here.

  5. The background 🎶 is horrible!! And the story of this adopted baby girl went on…And on….And on….And on….just get to the point already!!

  6. I am a professional singer in Los Angeles, yep, I finally muted the music it was abusive! OMG But what I really need to communicate is that I too adopted from Eastern Europe.I am involved with many families that adopted from those regions, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, China etc Every story is different, and we were educated prior to getting a child, about RAD and FAS. Our facilitators and agencies check prior for these issues. My son now 20, is the most loving, connective human being, he is a dream, but yes there is an element of luck – as the jury is still out for nature versus nature. But I do know of a few families that had to deal with this. The video bleeds of depression, and exhaustion and they just had to get it out to the world that they came out on the other end without ending up with a druggie teenager runaway. Some of them CANNOT be fixed. …it is not only orphanages, our Foster system is broken too. I have seen beautiful young children become teenagers, young adults and there is no fixing no matter what the parents did… Kudos to this family and congratulations. It is a deep – deep journey.
