Can I go on holiday to Croatia?

From Monday 19 July, Brits will be able to visit Croatia without quarantining back in the UK as the country has been added to the green list.

Brits returning from Croatia will only need a pre-arrival Covid test and a second test on day two, which must be pre-booked before returning.

All arrivals must fill in a Passenger Locator Form as well.

However, Croatia is on the green watchlist, meaning Brits should be aware of last minute changes, as it could be added back to the amber list if Covid cases increase in the country.

What are the travel restrictions for Croatia?

Brits can travel to Croatia even if they aren’t vaccinated.

To enter Croatia, tourists must have a negative Covid test, either a PCR test 72 hours before or an antigen test 48 hours before.

However, UK arrivals who are fully vaccinated can enter the country without test restrictions, with kids under the age of 12 not having to have tests or self-isolate.

Kids between 12 and 17 will need a negative Covid test to visit.

There are still some restrictions in place, with face masks mandatory on public transport and in shops.

The government has also advised caution if visiting bars or clubs, with an increase in Covid cases linked to them and guests need a negative test or proof of vaccine to enter.

Dubrovnik mayor Mato Frankovic said: “Everything is open, masks should be worn indoors, and for clubs that gather more visitors, there is a rule of entry with a negative test or both doses of vaccine received.”
