Another 67 people have died with coronavirus in the UK, as second wave cases continue to surge.

A further 16,982 positive tests have also been reported in the latest official figures, which show Sunday is the first day in six where less 100 deaths have been reported in 24 hours. There tends to be a lag in the figures being reported at the weekend.

Meanwhile, ‘hundreds of thousands’ of doses of a potential coronavirus vaccine have already been manufactured, it’s been revealed.

The Pfizer jab is being stock-piled en masse at the drug giant’s plant in Puurs, Belgium, The Mail on Sunday reports.
