A post on the official Downing Street Instagram which included an Irish tricolour flag emoji in a post about a Northern Ireland business reception was quickly edited after being published.
The post on the 10downingstreet account had included the emoji at the end of the caption in the original version published on Tuesday morning which said: “Yesterday we celebrated the culture of Northern Ireland with a reception in Downing Street.
