CRISTIANO RONALDO has the motivation to continue winning after receiving April’s Premier League player of the month.
The Manchester United star is still going strong at 37 and scored five goals in four games last month.
He has continued to perform despite United’s struggles and is determined to achieve more in the future.
Upon collecting his award Ronaldo said he is as happy as ever to receive such acknowledgements, revealing his hunger for success never dwindles.
CR7 tweeted alongside a photo of him holding his trophy: “My second Premier League player of the month award, the sixth in my career.
“I’m as happy to win today as I was in my early days, the hunger for victory and achievements never fades away. Thanks to everyone that made this possible.”
Ronaldo also won the same award for the month of September when he first returned to the Premier League following his switch from Juventus.
He has scored 18 goals in 30 league games this season despite United’s difficult campaign.
His goal tally includes two hat-tricks and some brilliant strikes, including his 25-yard screamer against Tottenham that won him March’s Premier League goal of the month.
There is no sign of Ronaldo slowing down just yet but he could leave Old Trafford in the summer depending on the wishes of incoming manager Erik ten Hag.
