Jessica Biel has laughed off claims that she doesn’t suit period dramas because of her unique facial features.

The 7th Heaven alum took to Instagram on Thursday after she discovered a viral tweet about her film career.

Twitter user @BrandyLJensen wrote: ‘Some people just can’t be believably cast in a period piece like sorry Jessica Biel you have a face that knows about text messaging.’

Jessica, who currently produces shows like The Sinner and Cruel Summer, then posted a screenshot of the tweet on Thursday – along with a still from her 2006 period film The Illusionist.

The Limetown star also attached a more modern still from her 2004 flick, Cellular, as she joked: ‘Born for wifi’.

Fans jumped to her defense in the comments as one wrote: ‘Disagree! You are perfect for these period movies’.

Another added: ‘Clearly they have never seen “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”, because the entire plot is built around the limitations of ’90s communication devices.’

‘I think you look perfect in that classic timeperiod. 🙌,’ one fan stated.

Meanwhile, others agreed with the statement that Biel doesn’t have the look to pull of a period piece.

One Instagram user wrote: ‘She’s not wrong now that I’ve read this I see it too lol.’

Another added: ‘In all fairness if it ain’t Kate Winslet or Kiera Knightley I’m not buying it. I remember thinking the same thing about many actresses.’

It was revealed last summer that Jessica and husband Justin secretly added another little addition to their family after she gave birth to son Phineas in July.

The pair were already proud parents to five-year-old son Silas.
