MOST people spent lockdown trying out new hobbies but Jimmy Carr decided to use the time to overhaul his looks.
The 48-year-old stand-up star added to his hair transplant procedure by getting a set of veneers and botox to try and stop the hands of time.
Jimmy used lockdown to get “a bit of work done” which included “a bit of Botox” to help him retain his youthful looks.
Trying to slow down the ageing process, Jimmy mused “what else are you going to do in lockdown?”
“I’ve had a lot of work done. I got my teeth knocked out and put back in,” he said during a recent Just For Laughs festival.
“And then I had a hair transplant in the lockdown, which I didn’t particularly need, but what else are you going to do in lockdown?”
Jimmy had the hair tranplant procedure after worrying he was beginning to resemble a “snooker-playing vampire”.
The star booked himself in for a transplant earlier this year and showed off the results on BBC show Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer in June.
When presenter Maya Jama pointed out that he was looking youthful, Jimmy joked that he took action after his hair “socially distanced” from the rest of him.
He said: “I tell you what I did, I went and had a hair transplant. I kind of had a look of a snooker-playing vampire.
“So what happened was my hair was socially distancing from my forehead and I’d had enough of it.
“I shaved my head and what they do is take hairs from the back of your head and they put them on the front.

“Basically I had enough hair, it was just in the wrong place. It was a bit of redistribution.”
Jimmy started his career in stand-up comedy after working in the marketing department at oil giant Shell, going on to host Channel 4 hits including Your Face Or Mine? and 10 O’Clock Live.
He now fronts 8 Out Of 10 Cats and its spin-off 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown for the channel.
