Fans have been shipping Amber with her fellow Geordie Brad, who was a contestant in the latest series of the ITV2 dating show until he was dumped from the villa last week.
Earlier this month, Amber – who won the 2018 series of Love Island – revealed that Brad was actually seeing one of her friends, but that hasn’t stopped fans from hoping for a romance between the two Newcastle natives.
Lorraine host Ranvir Singh couldn’t help but prod Amber for her thoughts on the dumped islander.
‘This season of Love Island, I’ve not watched every episode but we have had Brad in…,’ Ranvir began.
As Amber burst into giggles, the presenter noted: ‘You’ve perked up a bit there. Look at him, he’s a lovely lad. He’s from your neck of the woods isn’t he?’
‘He is, about 10 minutes away from where I’m from,’ Amber revealed, leading Ranvir to wonder: ‘Well then, do we need to watch this space?’
The reality star answered with a firm ‘no’ but, to be honest, her cheeky laugh told us all we needed to know.
Ranvir said: ‘Don’t put a pin in that, why wouldn’t you have a soft spot for him?’
‘He’s waiting for Lucinda isn’t he when she gets out,’ Amber pointed out.
However, Ranvir reminded her guest that Lucinda has actually moved on from Brad, who she was coupled up with before he left, and is now romancing Aaron Francis.
‘She’s moved on, she’s old news. Are you being very quiet about this on purpose?’ Ranvir pressed, to which Amber laughed: ‘I don’t know what to say.’
Confessing to her crush, she then said: ‘Out of the boys he was definitely one of my favourites. He’s beautiful isn’t he?’
It comes after Amber tweeted her surprising connection to Brad when he entered the villa.
‘Brad was speaking to one of my friends at some point. But let’s keep that between me you. Love u bye,’ she told her followers teasingly.
However, when later asked about it on Capital FM, Amber explained: ‘Oh no! I can’t say anything but there’s a connection somewhere.
‘He’s obviously from ten minutes down the road, so somebody that I know was speaking to him but they weren’t dating. I’ve been made aware that it wasn’t a dating kind of thing.
‘Also, I don’t want to lose my friendship so that’s all I can say on the matter.’
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
