LOVE Island’s Lucie Donlan and Luke Mabbott saved a family that were on the verge of being swept out to sea yesterday.
A mum and her four young children, including a baby, got in to trouble last night as the tide quickly came in on a Cornish beach.
Surfer Lucy managed to use her board to rescue the youngsters and help them back to Crantock Beach in Newquay.
Reflecting on the incident afterwards, she wrote on Instagram: “Now the Lifeguards have gone please be careful out there on the beaches if you’re not familiar with it please.
“Luke and I had to help a family today from being cut off by the side that had 4 young kids and one was only a couple months old.
“The Tide was rushing in and if we weren’t there, they would have been in big trouble.
“We had to wade/swim across and get the kids on my surfboard then help the mother and her baby across safely.”
Lucie and Luke returned to their car on the beach to change out of their wetsuits and were happy with their day’s work.
However, Lucie warned: “We were so glad everyone was safe, but I worry to think of this happening to another family that are not sure about how dangerous the ocean can be.”
Lucie recently gave her fans a thrill as she stripped down to a white bikini for a sexy shoot.
