HOLLYWOOD actress Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that the new season of Sex and the City is officially underway.
The 56-year-old actress posted a snap of the script to social media as she attended her first table read for the HBO Max series.

Sex and the City And Just Like That will follow Carrie and her best friends Miranda and Charlotte.
She also posted name cards for her co-stars Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Chris Noth, Willie Garson, Mario Cantone and Sara Ramirez.
Kim Cattrall will not be reprising her role in the hit show[/caption]
There was no name card for Kim Cattrall, confirming that she would not be reprising her role as Samantha Jones on the franchise.
SJP captioned the Instagram post: “1st Table Read. Got here way too early. Nerves all a wonderful jumble. X, SJ”.
In response to the actress’ posts, fellow Sex and the City star, Kristin Davis wrote: “I’m coming ! Got stuck in traffic !”

The new series will run 10 episodes but a premiere date has not been set yet.
The new series will see Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte “navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s,”.
The original Sex and the City series ran six seasons on HBO from 1998 to 2004.
The show was based on the book by Candace Bushnell and became a franchise, with movies and a short-lived prequel series on The CW titled The Carrie Diaries.
