STRICTLY Come Dancing viewers were left outraged tonight after the show chose to play Everybody’s Free for its opening number – despite the enforced tier lockdowns amid the coronavirus pandemic.
There have been protests on the street today after Prime Minister Boris Johnson brought in tough measures across the country in a bid to avoid a second peak.
One viewer remarked: “Tonight’s #Strictly began with a pro routine to ‘Everybody’s Free’. You been watching the news this year, pal?”
Someone else said: “I’m sure it’s supposed to be uplifting (& music was probably cleared yonks ago) but helluva time to be leading with “Everybody’s free…”
Another said: “Everybody’s free. Is this irony?”
One added: “Everybody’s free is a bit of an ironic song considering this is the least free we’ve been in forever!”
Other areas moving into Tier 2 include Essex, Elmbridge, Barrow-in-Furness, York, North East Derbyshire, Erewash and Chesterfield.
